This is one of the best “finds” I have had in a while. One of my blogging friends kept talking about this thing called “Pinterest.” “Pinterest” this, “Pinterest” that. I thought to myself…what in the world is this “Pinterest” thing? I must check it out.
Oh. My. Goodness.
Pinterest is an amazing world (and what Jon would probably tell you, a dangerous one). Taken directly from their website, “Pinterest is a virtual pinboard. Pinterest allows you to organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. You can browse pinboards created by other people to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes and share their favorite recipes.” (…and sooo much more!)
Some of the categories that you can look through are “food and drink,” “home and furniture,” “DIY,” “design,” and “wedding and events”…and that’s the tip of the ice berg. As people search the internet, they “pin” things that they find interesting onto Pinterest. You can find the link which will often lead you to other links…and other links…and other links…and other links. I can’t even count the number of blogs I have found over the last few weeks that I found interesting simply through hunting through Pinterest.
If you are interested in being able to contribute and pin your own items to Pinterest, you can request an invite ***here***. (It didn’t take long for me to get mine.)
Check it out. It’s a neat idea. I have really enjoyed looking through the site and what other people like. It has given me a lot of new ideas for meals and decorating and organization and…and…and…lots of things.
