Nature’s Wick Candles

I love candles.

Correction: I love wonderfully and delightfully smelling candles.

When I was little, I used to collect candles. I thought they were pretty. I rarely burned them. I still rarely burn them as I’ve found a way around that were I still get that amazing scent throughout the house (I think that’s a post for another day though…). But, there is a candle that I most certainly burn.

Last year, I (okay…”we”) received this candle at my bridal shower. It certainly intrigued me. The scent…apple tree…was wonderful! But I didn’t burn it for a while. (When I do burn candles, my tendency is not to do it during the warm months.) So, winter rolls around and I decide I want to burn my lovely candle. I had seen the label that says it has a “wooden wick” but didn’t think anything of it…until I lit it.

I lit the candle and went about continuing to cook dinner. And then I begin hearing this soft crackling noise, almost like a fire in the fireplace. It was the candle!

It was certainly not an overpowering sound and you didn’t feel like you were sitting around a campfire listening to it roar. But it was subtle enough to add something. And I liked it. It was certainly an unexpected surprise! And a great one, at that.

You can find these at Target, last time I check, and probably other places…though I’m not sure where else. I highly recommend this apple tree scent. It’s delicate and not the knock-you-over scent that some candles can have (hate those). Get it. Try it. Love it.

I just bought 2 of them at Target. I didn’t realize that it would crackle and I absolutely love the sound! They smell wonderful too. They made my entire house smell great.

I just bought this candle yesterday! And, I love the smell and the sound. It’s such a great scent for fall and the sound of the wick burning is so incredibly relaxing.

I LOVE the apple scent but the vanilla is to die for. Eyes rolling back in the head level of awesomeness 🙂
