Total weight gain/loss so far: +2
Wearing any maternity clothes? Yes. They are all that fit without showing off the belly.
How’s the sleep? It’s getting a little rougher. Mid-night potty breaks and not being able to get back to sleep afterwards is the norm these days (but, soon enough, it will be mid-night feedings and not being able to get back to sleep – at least it’s fairly quiet these days, minus the puppy and hubby snoring).
Best moment of the week: Getting some more of Peanut’s room ready and realizing he’ll be here soon!
Do you miss anything? Sub sandwiches, salads, sleep…
How much is baby moving? A lot! Peanut is moving and grooving – at all hours.
What are the food cravings like? No real cravings this week.
Is anything making you queasy or sick? Nothing specific…thank goodness.
Have you started to show yet? Yes, there’s a nice little bump out there – though folks don’t believe he’s less than a month from his due date.
Boy or girl? It’s a BOY!
Any labor signs? More Braxton Hicks contractions…
Is the belly button in or out? Still in, but getting flatter.
Are the wedding rings on or off? Both? It depends on the day.
What’s the mood? Pretty good.
How big is the baby? Peanut should be measuring about 18.9 to 20.9 inches long and weigh between 6.2 and 9.2 pounds (though, my OB estimated last week that he was close to the 6 pound mark)…or, the size of a winter melon. (Or, for you guys who have “no idea what these fruits are” [as said by Jon], the size of a beach ball.)
What’s baby up to this week? He’s practicing some skills that he’ll need once he’s born: inhaling, exhaling, sucking, gripping and blinking. He should also be gaining about 1/2 ounce per day.
What are you looking forward to? I am looking forward to holding our little boy in just a few short weeks. I have a few more things to get ready, but if he were to show up today, we’d be set enough.
