Length: 28.75 inches
Weight: ~15 pounds Likes Moving and grooving! The Bug is on the move! While he has mastered moving around by rolling and army crawling for several months now, he has picked up a lot of speed. He is across the room in 10 seconds or less. No longer are the days that we can set him down long enough to switch a load of laundry and come back to find him in the same place. He is also a fan of the solids we have been trying. Although he has not been too adventuresome, he has enjoyed most of what he has tried. Our new food is yogurt – and that, I do believe, has been the biggest hit of all of the foods.
Dislikes We still do not like taking naps. He generally takes one nap in the mornings, but even that is not consistent each day. However, as he becomes more active, there is hope that his consistency will increase. Bug is still a mama’s boy and does not like being left alone. He would prefer the company of Mama or Daddy – but if either of us have to go around the corner to cook dinner or to move a load of laundry, he will be happy to substitute a puppy for our company. Milestones
Our little Bug officially became a world traveler this past month! We took a trip across an international border to see Daddy’s family in Canada. While there, he was introduced to his great-grandfather, great-aunts, great-uncles, and some cousins. He also took his first dip in the swimming pool and was able to celebrate his first Canada Day on Canadian soil (don’t worry – we made it back to American soil in time to celebrate his first Independence Day in the proper location, as well 😉 ). We had a great time seeing everyone and showing off our little guy to the family. 🙂 The other thing he has learned to do is say Mama! Bug has been saying sounds and syllables for weeks (and probably months, at this point); however, our long car ride to Canada allowed for time to work on “mamamamamamamamamama” to become “mama”.
